Azad Asifovich presents the Robe de chambre (selected pieces) from the Autumn–Winter 2026 Collection, through a temporary living space at the Private Institution.

Private Institution is a Paris-based independent initiative by Azad Asifovich & Hannah Kreile, dedicated to promoting contemporary art with a focus on Global Asias, their diasporas, and liminal spaces, fostering meaningful dialogue through curatorial projects.

For Deguellle, the bedroom is a liminal space, the stage of the in-between.

A place of waiting, a place of sleep, tears, and dreams, of drifting.

The bedroom symbolizes the opposite of efficiency: nothing there serves a purpose, nothing advances, the competitive world is momentarily suspended.

At the Private Institution, the bedroom becomes a space for artistic dialogue with the presented collection.

Luca Resta – Shut up and dance: five smartphone and tablet screens, on black marble.

Screens that display nothing, surfaces conceived for images but transformed into silent monoliths.

David Horvitz – Time Signal: two drawings of a frozen sound signal remind us of the world’s rhythm, introducing social time into this suspended space.

A soundscape created by Belamee completes this immersion.

Everyday sonic textures, captured from the streets of Paris and from a bedroom in the city.

Through this setup, Deguellle reveals selected pieces from the Robe de chambre Collection, Autumn–Winter 2026.

Deguellle creates garments designed to be layered, moving from the intimacy of the bedroom to the exterior space.

Starting from soft, lightweight base layers worn directly on the skin, the collection is built through layering, forming a single garment.

Skirt-covers and lining jackets envelop pajamas, nightgowns, and underskirts.

Each piece combines the rarity of the weavings, functionality, and elegance, allowing it to transition from interior to exterior.

A way of inhabiting space.

The collection explores textures.

The fabrics, selected for their fineness, durability, and natural compositions, come from heritage houses or artisanal workshops with precious know-how, located in France, England, Italy, Kashmir, and Uzbekistan.

The fluidity of semi-matte satin, the density of English wool sheets, the airy lightness of silk pongee, the powdered aspect of artisanal wool felt lined with pearly silk gauze…

Each material accompanies the gradual transition from the intimate to the public.

La collection Robe de chambre

Underskirt and tank top – cut from ultrafine silk pongee and conceived more as a veil than a garment, these delicate underpieces dialogue with the density and raw texture of the wools.

The base layers in almost absent shades (opaline pink, pale citrine) offer fluidity and softness against the skin.

Nightshirt and pajama set – in semi-matte black satin, enhanced with mother-of-pearl buttons and contrasting topstitching. The deep black of these evening garments dresses the light first layers with character. Heavy fluidity and elegance of black viscose.

Skirt-cover, lining skirt, jacket, and lining coat – inspired by hidden coat linings, these covering pieces are made from artisanal wools, entirely handcrafted. Bergschaf and Merino wools are lined on both sides with Uzbek silk gauze.

Different versions are offered: crumpled wool-linen blend (Italy), pure combed wool cloth (England).

The luminous linings enhance the natural tones of the wools.

Shirt jacket – echoing the pajama shirts, this androgynous piece, made from English wool cloth, is worn over satin pajamas and nightshirts, warmly covering them as it glides naturally towards the exterior.

Pashmina Shawls

Woven in India on traditional wooden looms and hand-embroidered, these large precious pieces, two meters long, symbolize home and protection.

In India, the shawl is passed down at weddings, and women wear it both indoors and outdoors.

The two Pashmina shawls created for the Fall–Winter 2026 Collection are made from pure cashmere threads (Changthangi goats, Himalaya) and feature embroidered patterns inspired by the Album of the Kashmiri, the 1837 reproduction album of all the finest shawls from India and Persia (Chavant-Fleury).
